History of Reid Packaging
Peter Reid founded Reid Packaging in 1982 and for all 39 years of the company’s existence, it’s been an industrial packaging company at the very pinnacle of performance.
Based in the north metro area of Atlanta, Reid Packaging began as a family business and Bill Reid, son of the founder, is a senior sales executive at the company today – managing accounts with the same high level of service to which his dad had accustomed every customer.
Over the years, customers have come to rely on Reid because managers and shop floor people alike provide complete, well thought out cutting edge solutions for shipping their valuable, sometimes unwieldy and often massive products to destinations in the United States and overseas.
Experience Matters
With more than three decades of experience making custom crates and corrugated cartons, Reid Packaging crews have met almost every challenge imaginable, including designing and building containers for aerospace equipment with precise military specifications.
The 60,000 square foot free-standing manufacturing facility is set up to produce wood crates, bases, boxes and pallets. Other products include heavy-duty triple-wall corrugated containers, single wall and double wall corrugated boxes, foam cushioning products, static control products and barrier bags.
Services include military packaging, protective packaging, barrier bag vacuum packaging, on-site crating, and export crating. Reid Packaging offers both in-house and on-site packing and crating services (which comply with export wood packaging ISPM-15 regulations,) container loading, blocking and bracing as well as full design and consulting capability. Reid Packaging provides JIT (just in time) delivery to many of its regular customers.
From the very large to the very small, Reid has expertise in the design, testing and production of complete packaging kits for delicate and expensive equipment as well as very large and very heavy machinery.
The design team totals over 55 years experience in the packaging industry and includes two certified military packaging specialists.
